AEP, or Aylward Engineering & Pneumatics as it was known then, began in the early 1970s offering a range of pneumatic products and compressor services in Honiton, Devon.
In 1990 the original owner, Derek Aylward, offered the company up for sale and it was acquired by The West Group of Companies. AEP had been a distributor of West’s range of miniature fluid power components for a number of years so there was already a strong relationship between us.Following mergers and acquisitions of other companies in our industry, we have grown into the leading compressed air specialist of the South of England. We have depots in Cornwall and Dorset in addition to our original location of Honiton, albeit in larger premises and continue to be part of The West Group of Companies, along with more recently acquired Southbourne Rubber Co. Ltd.
Over the past five decades we have gained a wealth of experience in the compressed-air field and are proud of our highly knowledgeable and qualified staff, eager to impart the latest advice on equipment specification, system design, supply programmes and final installation.
